An old-fashioned barber shop still exists in Greenwich Village on MacDougal Street at #179, right across from oft-covered here #176, both a block from the park. Traffic Barber Shop is fairly well reviewed on Yelp. Maybe they ran out of symbols for the sign; the hair cut is actually $15 – still a bargain. Is it it fair to call it old-fashioned? Does that signal something that will not be here for long? Do they have a unique landlord who values long-time tenants and diversity of businesses in the neighborhood? Maybe?
