The fountain at Washington Square Park came on super early this year on April 8th. Typically, the fountain comes on mid-May. Update: In 2017 and 2018, the fountain did come on in April but typically that is considered early. It seems the reason was to keep people out of the fountain … In 2020, due to pandemic, the fountain came on late and not until around June.
The park really does look beautiful this time of year.
Is it due to what we New Yorkers have gone through over the last year weathering the height of the pandemic that it seems more beautiful & vibrant? There are problems for sure and will go into that at another time. Apologies for the delay in posting!
