The fountain’s season at Washington Square Park is typically from sometime in May*, shutting off sometime in October, but last year (and during Occupy Wall Street in 2011), it stayed on until November. It looks like it will be turned on earlier this year.

*Update: In reviewing older posts at Washington Square Park Blog, the fountain came on in April of 2017 and maybe same in 2018. So, it is not unprecedented but not the average over ten years.
