Where to Find NYC Protest Info | NYC Parks, Public Spaces Major Hubs of Protests

Parks and public spaces across New York City have played major roles as sites for ongoing, daily protests related to outrage over the death of George Floyd by Minneapolis police and way too many other men and women killed across the country inspiring the Black Lives Matter movement.

Washington Square Park remains a major hub. McCarren Park in Brooklyn has been the site of an evening “Socially Distant Vigil,” Fort Greene Park, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Union Square Park, Flushing Meadows-Corona Park (Queens), Clove Lakes Park (Staten Island), and other parks have been ongoing protest sites. Day 3 of NYC protests (approximately) was May 31st so it seems we are up to 21 days. Tomorrow, June 19th is Juneteenth.

Protests continue daily.
