NYC Parks Remain Open
Last weekend, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo expressed concerns upon visiting NYC that our parks were too populated with not enough social distancing in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. This is a picture of Washington Square Park Fountain and its surrounding plaza yesterday, March 26, 2020. People are sitting in the fountain but maintain a healthy distance from each other.
If we want our parks and public spaces to remain open, we have to observe the six feet rule and social distancing to remain safe and healthy.
We’ll come out the other end stronger. We will once again connect with each other and enjoy this iconic park in all its magnificent, rough-around-the-edges glory. Stay safe and well!
