Late September Washington Square

It’s turning October and the leaves will turn also shortly but until then, here is the latest from end of September. There is the usual: music, palm readings and tarot, chess and wildlife , along with the also unfortunately occurring all too often: more dead trees around the Fountain. (More to come on this…)

In addition, there are new Fall Comfort Station hours, the NYPD trailer is still there (did you ever notice the bazillion cables coming from there and wrapped around a nearby tree?), and the “Hangman’s” English Elm is *hanging* in there. (Literally. See this post from two years ago to learn more on how the 330+ year old tree’s life is in jeopardy due to the park construction.)
