Here is to more of everything in this New Year, particularly: happiness, justice, honesty, fairness, equality, muck raking (!) in our larger city and particularly in all things related to Washington Square Park. Some of these qualities have been in short supply via the cast of characters making decisions regarding this very important public space. Also, let’s bring back an appreciation of grit with respect to both courage and resolve and also a break from an overly sanitized agenda.
