Much to report back about last night’s Community Board 2 Parks Committee meeting addressing various Washington Square issues (the perpetually dying Fountain trees and what the Parks Department intends to do next, the missing hot dog vendors & more) as well as the continually evolving story of NYU and its long-delayed $500,000 donation to Washington Sq Park – and there is now additional newly disclosed funds: money from the Tisch Family in the Washington Square bank.
