There were previously additional living pine trees here along Washington Square North (actually I think it is better without them) but yet another site where the park trees died unnecessary deaths:
Outlaw Ritual under the Arch
Artist Kyle Castro comes from Flushing, says some days are better than others alongside the Arch but he keeps trying:
Not sure who decided the recycling bins should be at this location within view of the Arch. At one time, they were on the Eastern side of the Arch near the park entrance off to the side which made more sense. In this situation, I would say there is reason to say this is disturbing the “Arch view corridor.” (See blog archives: hot dog vendors. That – privately made – decision I/many/basically everyone disagreed with and was just a bad decision.)
News on the long delayed sidewalk repair to be posted next! Yes, the work is beginning!
