Book Club Meeting at Washington Square: The Gotham Book Club is reading Michael Chabon’s The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay (2000) which sounds like a good book (it won a Pulitzer Prize). Have you read it? Coming up later this month August 31st.

X-Men writer Chris Claremont and artist Dave Cockrum used to go to WSP and talk over plot ideas for upcoming stories, and when they planned a fight scene to take place in the neighborhood, Cockrum depicted the two of them right in the middle of the very scene happening around them as they were plotting it.
