Like what you’ve read? Much time, research, effort, energy, knowledge, and, also love has gone into this space. Consider donating to this blog to support this independent work. Washington Square Park Blog is five and a half years old and contributions help me to maintain, continue and improve providing information and news about the park and beyond.
This blog has broken stories, helped maintain an activist spirit around the park, acted as a “watchdog blog” around the park’s redesign over its half decade of existence. Stories written here have been linked to and provided background for numerous outlets, including New York Times, New York Daily News, New York Post, Curbed, Gothamist, Idealist.org, MSN.com, and many more.
WSP Blog is a totally independent, hyperlocal blog. Its scope has grown over the years and the site itself was totally upgraded in Fall 2012. I am also writing a book and working on other independent articles — financial support helps that work too. We all need to survive and thrive. As a blog without ads that inflict themselves on you visiting the site and with no corporate backing, when readers support this work, it means a lot. Donations act as morale boosts (!) and acknowledgement of what’s been done here to date. For close to five years, there have been no ads except for a brief period of Google Ads sort of hidden away at the bottom.
Many thanks for your support!
