For eleven years Washington Square Park Blog has reported on issues related to this iconic park, breaking stories later picked up by mainstream and local media. The site has written about other parks, privatization of public space, wildlife/animals, Greenwich Village & New York City overall, reporting on issues rarely covered by other media outlets.
If you appreciate the work you’ve read, then you know that it takes a lot of work, time, research, effort to put this content together and there is also quite an archive of material.
To continue and improve, Washington Square Park Blog requires community and reader support. It’s sort of a catch-22. There is so much more this site would be revealing and reporting on, but without funding, that is not possible. We’d love to do more. I’m also proud of what has been covered at the site to date.
If everyone who reads WSP Blog donated $10, $20, $50, $100 or more, that would make a huge difference. You can also make a recurring monthly donation.
