Free Health Care & Spirited Activism Transform NYC Public Spaces Saturday from Washington Square to Union Square to St. Vincent’s Triangle

Occupy Town Square, Strike Debt, and other Occupy Wall Street groups, gathered together Saturday, March 23rd for “Medical Emergency: Life or Debt” with Washington Square Park as the hub. Shortly after 2 p.m., a march commenced that wound past the site of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire, stopped at Union Square, and then onto the site of the former St. Vincent’s Hospital. All day long, across the street from the park, Judson Church was transformed into a community health center with free reiki, massage, acupuncture, yoga, reflexology, and “ask a doctor” services. Photos from the day follow.
