  1. A bit off topic, but do you know there is rat poison, the worst kind, all around WSP and NYU? University, Fifth, the mews, etc etc. There are a pair of nesting Red-Tailed Hawks on the Bobst Library. Is everyone trying to kill them? Because they will. Hawks eat rats and guess what happens if they eat a poisoned one?

  2. Hi Ann,

Sorry for the delayed response. I’ve seen rat poison around NYU and the Mews but not certain if it is in the park itself. Previously Parks Dept had agreed to remove it. NYU tho’, while having a sustainability department advocating for removal of poison IN Washington Square Park, was still using it outside their buildings. I’d say going to the sustainability people at NYU would be the way to go —

    Thanks for the notice.

    Cathryn.
